They have the best tacos in the Dubuque area. Do yourself a favor and go get steak tacos from this hidden gem.
One of the better Mexican restaurants in Dubuque in my opinion. The Carne Asda & Carnitas tacos are really delicious.. Being from Los Angelos the taste really close to Home. I will eat EL Paisano's again next time i am in Dubuque. In Addition the employees are very nice.
Had a carne asada torta for carry out. Great flavor, fresh food prepared well, and good price for the size. Came with green and red salsa; both were tasty with nice heat. Menu was somewhat limited compared to other places but what they offer they do well.
This little joint has fantastic food. Call ahead or just wait and enjoy a paleta. No seating here. They wrap the tacos in waxed paper before foil, so they stay fresher and don't get too soggy. Al pastor was the best I have ever had.
This place is a little bodega hidden in a not so nice area of Dubuque. It's a small convenience type store. They have all sorts of Mexican/Hispanic items for sale. Now on to the best part, their TACOS!! They are amazing! Real Mexican tacos, great seasoning, awesome flavor! I have had the Al Pastor, Chicken, Steak and Carnitas. All of them are delicious but my favorites are the Al Pastor!! Plus they are big tacos for about $2.50 each. I've heard their burritos are great too but haven't tried them. The only reason I'm taking one star away from 5 is because they girls (young kids) who answer the phone are very rude, when the owners answer it's usually very pleasant!
It's like walking into a corner store in Mexico! You will be surprised by their food :) This is a small grocery where you can pick up food to go.
